On March 10, 2023, as part of career guidance work, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure of the Faculty of Law Irina Litvinova held a legal lecture for students of the 10th grade of the Specialized School of I-III degrees No. 23 with in-depth study of English of the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv on the topic "The profession of an investigator is on guard of citizens' safety".

Professional self-determination is an important factor in the self-realization of the individual in a particular profession and in culture in general. The main methods of professional self-determination are considered to be the situational choice of educational and professional direction and the choice of vocational education and training. The Faculty of Law of the NAU trains students not only in the specialty 081 "Law", but also in the specialty 262 "Law Enforcement", whose students, upon completion, work as investigators in the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the prosecutor's office, the military prosecutor's office, security agencies, etc. The specificity of the investigator's profession is to search for criminals and bring them to justice, which is relevant today", Ms. Iryna said when starting a career guidance meeting.

The speaker noted that a person who wants to work as an investigator must have the necessary knowledge (have the qualification of a lawyer), professional experience and constantly be on guard of the safety of citizens, possessing such qualities as: tolerance, that is, resistance to the effects of adverse factors, reduced level of anxiety, emotional stability, etc.

At the end of the conversation, Iryna Litvinova answered the participants' questions, wished them success in choosing their future professional activities and expressed hope that future graduates of the general secondary education institution would join the large friendly family of the Law Faculty of the National Aviation University.
