On March 6, 2023, 4th-year students of the Faculty of Law together with Acting Dean Volodymyr Nikitin, Head of the Department of Economic, Air and Space Law Liubov Netska and Associate Professor of the Department of Economic, Air and Space Law Natalia Zhmur attended court hearings of the Podil District Court of Kyiv to consider criminal cases.

With the assistance of the faculty leadership, students had the opportunity to observe the progress of the trial in the consideration of cases on the use of funds obtained from illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues, precursors, poisonous or potent substances or poisonous or potent drugs (Article 306 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or shipment of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues without the purpose of sale (Article 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

After reviewing the cases, the judges commented on the procedural details of each action and stage of the trial, which were witnessed by future lawyers, and they, in turn, had the opportunity to ask clarifying questions and receive answers. Thus, the training process was applied and contributed to the consolidation of theoretical knowledge gained by higher education students while studying procedural disciplines, as well as showed the peculiarities of the professions of a judge, prosecutor, lawyer, courtroom clerk, and the like.
