In order to improve the quality of practical training of students of the second (master's) level of education in specialty 262 "Law enforcement activity", on February 20, 2023, assistant of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure Diana Maistro, together with the investigator of the investigative department of the Darnytskyi UP GUNP in Kyiv, Ilya Bondarenko, conducted binary lesson on the discipline "Actual problems of police activity".
In the context of law enforcement practice, some issues of the institution of criminal misdemeanors were analyzed. In particular, the attention of the acquirers is focused on changes in the legislation of Ukraine concerning the institution of criminal misdemeanors. It was emphasized that despite all the changes in the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, technical problems of a procedural nature remained, which were pointed out by investigators and prosecutors. Thus, the inquirer is not assigned to the subjects of the petition for the seizure of property along with the investigator and the prosecutor, although such a need constantly arises, first of all, to impose a seizure on temporarily seized property during the detention of a person. Also, the inquirer was not assigned to the subjects of the request to conduct such an investigative action as a search, although it is common in cases of criminal misdemeanors. In practice, it is resolved in such a way that prosecutors address such requests, which creates an additional burden on them, because the inquirer cannot take part in the consideration of such a request by the investigating judge as a relevant participant in criminal proceedings.
The involvement of practical workers in conducting classes significantly increases the effectiveness of the educational process, because applicants have the opportunity to receive answers from qualified specialists and use their experience in future work.
