On February 14, 2023, an online meeting was held for students of the 1st year of higher education at the Faculty of Law with the leading legal advisor of the law department of the State Enterprise "Boryspil International Airport", PhD, Kateryna Vodolaskova.
A practicing lawyer in the field of aviation disclosed the history of the development of relations between Ukraine and the European Union in terms of the programs of the European Neighborhood Policy and the Eastern Partnership, analyzed the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, which is the main document and basis for the formation and development of cooperation in the field of "open sky".
Mrs. Kateryna focused the students' attention in more detail on the norms of the Agreement on Common Aviation Area, which was signed in October 2021 by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal, the Ambassador of Slovenia to Ukraine Tomaz Mentsyn, and the Vice President of the European Commission and High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrel. It was noted that the Agreement contains provisions which are in force today and those which have yet to be adapted and worked out by Ukraine at the legislative and practical levels.
"Don't be afraid to learn something new and study during all your life. Only then prospects will be opened in front of you. Learn foreign languages, develop oratory, constantly monitor changes in legislation and you will definitely succeed," the speaker noted, summing up the meeting.
