On December 21, 2022, Associate Professor of the Civil Law and Trial Department of the Faculty of Law of NAU Valeria Filinovich took part in the final meeting of the "Rivni Mozhlyvosti" deputy groups of the Zhytomyr region.
The meeting was joined by the chairwomen of the groups, members of the deputy groups, and representatives of the initiative groups of the communities of the Zhytomyr region, working to strengthen and increase the capacity of deputy groups and develop the political participation of women.
The topic of Valeriia Filinovych's report was devoted to the basics of cybersecurity and cyber hygiene in the context of a hybrid war and the direct full-scale invasion of the russian federation into sovereign and independent Ukraine.
The speaker revealed the reasons for hacking email accounts and social networks accounts, websites, and the purpose of stealing personal data. “Using strong passwords, checking the safety qualities of active profiles, applying additional security tools, regularly backing up and updating the gadget system - these are important steps that will help everyone protect themselves, their data, and their accounts from intruders and scammers,” noted.
Organization, holding and participation of the public in such events is an urgent task today because the aggressor country uses all available means to manipulate the opinion of Ukrainians, mislead them, misinform and plant their revanchist ideas, including through the use of cyberspace.
