On December 9, 2022, Doctor of Law, Professor, Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure of the Faculty of Law, Oksana Panova, for high school students of Specialized School No. 92 named after I. Franka of the city of Kyiv held a demonstrative lecture on the educational discipline "Forensics" on the basis of the Educational and Scientific Forensic Laboratory.
"Forensics is the science of patterns of criminal activity and its reflection in information sources, which serve as the basis for the development of means, techniques and methods of collection, research, evaluation and use of evidence for the purpose of disclosure, investigation, trial and prevention of crimes. The founder of criminology as a science is the Austrian lawyer and criminologist Hans Gross," said Oksana Panova, starting the career orientation meeting.
The lecturer revealed the possibilities of the Educational and Scientific Forensic Laboratory, where future specialists acquire practical skills, and also showed an educational and scientific film about the work of a forensic scientist and the importance of forensics in solving crimes.
At the end of the report, the teacher answered the students' questions, which mainly related to certain aspects of the procedure for conducting various types of forensic examinations.
