On December 5, 2022, Candidate of Law, Deputy Head of the Laboratory of Educational and Scientific Work of the State Research Expert Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Daria Gurina for applicants for higher education (group PO-106B) of the first (bachelor's) level in the specialty 262 "Law Enforcement" of the Faculty of Law held an indicative lecture on the topic "Types of expert research related to forensic".
"Forensic examination is a type of forensic examination that examines traces - the reflection of people and things to solve identification (which particular person or specific object left traces), diagnostic (establishing the nature or state of the objects that formed the traces) or situational (establishing the mechanism and conditions of trace formation) tasks," said Daria Gurina.
The lecturer spoke about the main types of forensic examination such as: handwriting examination; linguistic examination of speech; technical examination of documents; examination of weapons and traces and circumstances of their use; trasological examination; phototechnical, portrait examination; examination of holograms; examination of video and sound recording; explosion examination; examination of materials, substances and products; biological examination.
Due to the fact that applicants for education receive education in the specialty "Law Enforcement", such information is directly related to their future profession.
At the end of the report, the deputy head of the laboratory answered the questions of those present, which mainly concerned certain aspects of the examination procedure.
