On December 1, 2022, the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure of the Faculty of Law held a master class for higher education applicants, graduate students and schoolchildren of the Ivan Franko Specialized School №92 in Kyiv on the topic "Novels in the Science of Criminal Law".
Taking into account the fact that after February 24, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a number of laws against Russian aggression, the lecturers held a presentation at which they analyzed criminal offenses that cause significant damage to Ukraine's national security, including: Art. 110 "Encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine", Art. 111 "Treason", Art. 111-1 "Collaboration activity", Art. 113 "Diversion", Art. 114 "Espionage", Art. 114-1 "Obstruction of the lawful activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations", Art. 114-2 "Unauthorized dissemination of information on the direction, movement of weapons, weapons and military supplies to the Ukraine, movement, movement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, committed under conditions of martial law or a state of emergency" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The participants also considered the issue of criminal liability for committing offenses in wartime and the changes that were made to the sanctions of many articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine to strengthen the punishment for looting, theft of property and other crimes.
Thanks to the received information, students, graduate students and high school students can easily navigate the novelties of criminal legislation aimed at countering military aggression against Ukraine.
