On November 18, 2022, during the hour of corporate culture for applicants for higher education of the PR-203B group of the Faculty of Law, a lecture-presentation was held, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of Andriy Malyshko - poet, translator, literary critic.
Students got acquainted with the formation, development and creative achievements of an outstanding figure in the national culture, whose works are distinguished by deep poetic originality, their own vision of the world and extraordinary song of lyrics.
"It is not a miracle that many Malyshkov songs have become truly folk in the fullest sense of the word. And first of all it is – "Song about the towel ", which the people still call in their own way, lovingly " My dear mother..." This is a worthy monument to the Ukrainian Mother, erected by a grateful son. This song is deeply national, it cannot be adequately translated into another language, because its imagery rests on an embroidered Ukrainian towel, with which we have everything connected – from birth to the last way. The young were bandaged with towels, they were discharged with towels on the road, they were discharged with towels on the last journey. That is why the poet says that "everything familiar to pain" comes to life on a towel, all his life, and what has been passed, and the one that is still destined to pass. There are few songs in all the world literature that would so sincerely and lovingly exalt the mother," said Diana Maistro, mentor of the PR-203B group.
The name of Andriy Malyshko will always be the hallmark of Ukrainian culture.
