On November 17, 2022, the Faculty of Law together with Volodymyr Sipiy, a teacher of the Specialized School No. 2 named after D. Karbyshev with an in-depth study of the subjects of the natural cycle of the Podilsky District of Kyiv, organized and held for high school students the career guidance event “Soft skill as a tool for developing the professionalism of a future lawyer”.
“Persistence, sociability, initiative, love for own profession, honesty, responsibility, and erudition are the abilities without which one cannot imagine a lawyer. Soft skills include the ability to solve complex problems, the ability to demonstrate communication, and cognitive and organizational skills. The most general principle of a lawyer’s work is the rule established for a doctor: do no harm. Protecting the rights of their clients and defending the interests of justice, lawyers have to contribute to the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms recognized by the law, and in all cases act independently and in good faith, in accordance with the law and recognized norms and professional ethics”, said the professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Svitlana Holovko during her speech.
In the process of communication, students were also provided with information on the spectrum of activities of National Aviation University for the training of future specialists, the organization of the educational process, the main areas of activity of the Law Faculty, and the peculiarities of industrial and legal internships.
