On November 16, 2022, as part of the inter-university cooperation between the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and the National Aviation University, mentors of the Department of Criminal Law and Process of the Faculty of Law of NAU took part in a training on the topic "Prevention of suicidal behavior among students of higher education".

The lecturer of the training was Viktoria Dotsenko - Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Faculty No. 3 of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor.

"Suicide is one of the most painful and urgent health problems in the world. Suicide is a tragedy for the family and society. However, this can often be prevented. Knowing the risk factors of suicide, information about who may be in the danger zone and what we can do to help, significantly reduces the frequency of committing suicide among the population," said Ms. Victoria.

The instructors of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure Iryna Litvinova, Yuliya Lantsedova, Viktoriya Sysoeva, Tetyana Lysko, Diana Maistro, together with the head of the department Sofia Lykhova and professor of the department Oksana Panova, after listening to the training, increased their level of awareness of the highlighted issue and took into account the recommendations on the prevention of suicidal tendencies among students of higher education.

At the end of the event, the participants thanked the lecturer Victoria Dotsenko for the invitation and assured of their readiness to cooperate in the future.
