To celebrate the 350th anniversary of the birth of Pylyp Orlyk (1672-1742), a political, state and military figure, Hetman of Ukraine, compiler of the "Constitution of Pylyp Orlyk", on November 14, 2022, the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Faculty of Law held a competition of presentations among 2nd year students on the topic "The First Constitution of Hetman Pylyp Orlyk: History and Modern Legal Views".
According to the requirements of the competition, each group chose a topic at its own discretion, which they tried to reflect in the presentation works. Interesting facts about the life of Pylyp Orlyk were revealed by group 201, the main idea of the constitution, namely the full independence of Ukraine from Poland and Russia was illustrated by group 202. The presentation work of group 203 reflects the words of Pylyp Orlyk, which are very relevant for Ukraine today: "No matter how great Moscow's violence is, it does not give Muscovites any right to Ukraine". Students of group 204 presented the original text of the Constitution of Pylyp Orlyk, emphasizing that it is stored in the National Archives of Sweden, along with other letters of the Hetman.
As a result of a long debate among the jury members, the competition was won:
1st place - group 204;
2nd place - group 203 and group 201;
3rd place - group 202.
