On October 13, 2022, a scientific and practical round table "Institute for Foster Care in Family Law of Ukraine and the European Union" was held at the Faculty of Law.
The purpose of it was to clarify the problematic aspects of the institution of foster care in the family law of Ukraine and the countries of the European Union, as well as to develop suggestions for improving the current legislation in the field of protection of orphans and children deprived of parental care, finding the optimal balance regarding their solution in doctrine, legislation and legal practice.
The scientific event was attended by representatives of higher education of Hungary and Ukraine, and practicing lawyers, including Istvan Lytvyn - Ph.D. in Law, Associate Professor, Rector of the Institute for Educational and Professional Development (Hungary), and Mariia Mendzhul - Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure of the State Higher Educational Institution "Uzhgorod National University", Larysa Krasytska - Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure of Faculty No. 6 of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Viktoriia Kozhevnikova - Doctor of Law in Law, Professor of the Department of International and European Law of the Khmelnytsky University of Management and Law named after Leonid Yuzkov, Natalia Dyachkova - Ph.D. in Law, Associate Professor of the Department of Legal Support and Administration of Transport Activities of the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport, Tetyana Kyrychenko - Ph.D. .sci., Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Process, Faculty No. 6 of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Ella Vakulovych - Ph.D. in Law, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure, Faculty No. 6 of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Olga Avramova - Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Process, Faculty No. 6 of the Kharkiv National University University of Internal Affairs, Olga Yavor - Doctor of Law, Professor of the Department of Civil Law 2 of the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.
The participants discussed the problematic aspects of the placement of children deprived of parental care during martial law, the peculiarities of the legal education of orphans in Hungary, the legal regulation of the creation of foster families in the EU states, the realities of the present regarding interstate and international adoption, the peculiarities of legislative regulation of the institution of foster care in countries the European Union, the foundations of foster care as a form of placement of children deprived of parental care, etc.
According to the results of the round table, the reports of scientists who are characterized by a high scientific and practical level were noted and it was proposed to prepare articles and other research and educational materials based on the results of their research.
