On October 7, 2022, associate professors of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Faculty of Law Veronika Oleshchenko and Anna Rybikova held a corporate hour in groups PR-101B, PR-102B, PR-103B, PR-104B, dedicated to the memory of the victims of Babyn Yar.
It was mentioned with deep sorrow that the mass murders in Babyn Yar are the most famous episode of a special type of murder characteristic of the Holocaust. "We are convinced that the history of numerous Jewish victims should be passed on to future generations. We must tell the story of their lives and explain the relationship between Jews and non-Jews in Kyiv, Ukraine and other countries," Anna Rybikova emphasized.
The origins of anti-Semitism, the reasons for its spread were discussed with the students, special attention was paid to the specifics of German anti-Semitism.
"We will not forget about this crime against humanity, mass murder is something that should never be repeated and it depends on each of us, our humanity, humanism, that one day the world will get rid of such terrible pages of its history forever. Unfortunately, Ukraine is experiencing today cruel and cynical massive Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure, civilians in Kremenchuk, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa and other Ukrainian cities, which have shaken not only the whole Ukraine, but also the whole world and which have no sense and justification. And we are talking here about the behavior and tactics of a terrorist, for whom there are no rules and limits, except for intimidation, and in our case, the actual genocide of Ukrainians. But we are strong, invincible and soon we will definitely celebrate the victory in this bloody war!", - summing up the event, the mentor Veronika Oleshchenko said.
