On September 16, 2022, 2nd-year higher education applicants met in an online format with Maryna Steshenko, secretary of the court session of the judicial process support department of the department of support for the activities of the court chamber for consideration of civil cases of the Kyiv Court of Appeal.
Maryna Steshenko is a 2021 graduate of the faculty, who realized herself professionally in a short period of time.
An employee of the judicial branch of government shared with the students her own employment experience after graduating from the National Aviation University and spoke about her duties as a secretary of a court session. "The secretary carries out court summonses and notices, checks the presence and finds out the reasons for the absence of persons who have been summoned to court, and reports this to the presiding judge, ensures control over the recording of the court session by technical means, keeps a log of the court session, prepares case materials, etc." , she noted.
In addition, Maryna Steshenko gave examples from her own legal practice and emphasized the need for future lawyers to freely use knowledge of civil law, civil procedural law and other branches of law, that are constantly applied in the practical activities of a court employee.
"Don't distract yourself. Choose a goal for yourself, go to it every day and work tirelessly to achieve it. Do not forget about the balance between personal and professional - then you will be truly happy," the graduate wished the students. Answering the questions of future lawyers and discussing the specifics of working in the Kyiv Court of Appeal, Maryna Steshenko emphasized the importance of students acquiring theoretical knowledge during their studies at the university, in order to successfully realize themselves as individuals in the future.
