On June 17, 2022, the Faculty of Law held a demonstrative defense of practical works in the form of simulated court debates.
9 court cases in the field of administrative-legal relations were prepared and presented by the students of the second year of the EP “Bachelor” within the framework of the educational subject “Practice in State Authorities and Local Self-Government”.
The presentations took place in the form of an educational simulation of a court session in cases of administrative jurisdiction, in which students played the roles of participants in the process. The future lawyers enthusiastically accepted the work in groups to create a complete layout of cases, their stories, procedural documents, and their subsequent modeling in a simulated trial. Making their speeches, they demonstrated a high level of mastery and practical training in the subjects of the public cycle, which are taught by the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law during the two years of their studies.
Modeling court hearings is one of the most effective interactive methods of acquiring professional practical skills and competencies by legal students. After all, the analysis of the practice of applying substantive-procedural law by the administrative courts of Ukraine allows future graduates to acquire practical skills in conducting cases in court and the ability to argue their own points of view when resolving public disputes.
