On May 20, 2022, the Civil Law and Trial Department of the Faculty of Law held a scientific and methodological seminar on the topic “Private-state forms of foster care”.
The scientific event was attended by representatives of higher education of Ukraine, state and public organizations, scientific and pedagogical workers of the department and applicants for higher education of the Faculty of Law, in particular: Kateryna Katerynchuk - Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Public and Private Law of the Educational-Scientific Humanitarian Institute of Taurida National University named after V.I. Vernadsky; Denys Tykhomyrov - Doctor of Law, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory of State and Law of the National Academy of Internal Affairs; Olga Starytska - Ph.D. in Law, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory of State and Law of the National Academy of Internal Affairs; Olga Matsyuk an applicant for higher education of the group 081-31 (c) of the Tauride National University named after V.I. Vernadsky; Anna Bagirova – PhD student, acting Head of JSC "International Lawyer Company" "Eduard Bagirov and Partners".
The participants of the scientific and methodological seminar discussed the issues of improving the regulation of private-state forms of foster care in Ukraine, taking into account the experience of foreign countries. Special attention was paid to the US legislative initiatives on foster families, the state policy of foster family teaching in our state and European countries, and regulation of the position of family-type orphanages in the system of protection of orphans and children deprived of parental care and family forms of placement of orphans. The guests were especially interested in reports on domestic violence and bullying.
Based on the results of the scientific and methodological seminar, the participants suggested proper recommendations for improving the work on the development and implementation of the legal regulation of private-state forms of foster care in Ukraine, taking into account the experience of the leading countries of the world. It was also decided to publish scientific articles on the topics of speeches in the “Legal Journal “Air and Space Law”.
