On May 20, 2022, a student scientific discussion was held at the Department of Criminal Law and Process of the Law Faculty, with the participation of higher education of Georgia, Poland and Ukraine, which considered both general criminal issues and criminal law issues related to Russian aggression in Ukraine.
Matacea Blotitsky, Assistant Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, Maria Kuri -Sklovskaya, the Assistant Professor of the Department of Criminal Law in Lublin (Poland), made a report on the topic “Analysis of responsibility for the life of the life or health of prisoners of war in the Polish legal system” in the Polish legal system ”. . The speaker revealed the issue of international humanitarian law on the example of the 1949 Geneva Conventions and their implementation in Polish legislation. Yaroslav Kepovych - a student of the Faculty of Law and Management of Maria Curie -Sklovskaya University in Lublin (Poland) presented the topic "Criminal responsibility for the use of unacceptable ways or means of fighting in Polish criminal law", analyzing the rules on criminal liability for the legislation of the Republic of Poland for crimes against peace. the safety of mankind and international rule of law.
The participation of Georgian colleagues was presented with reports by Tbilisi State University on Oniana Mariam on "Analysis of Active Euthanasia" and Jashiashvili Giga on "Legal status of convicts with a high risk of danger in the context of communication with the outside world and the possibility of re -socialization. Oniani Mariam analyzed the legislation of the European Union and the practice of the European Court of Human Rights on the legalization of active euthanasia, and Jashashvili Giga revealed the problem of re -socialization of convicts, which is relevant all over the world.
Ukraine was made by the higher education of the second (master's) level of Lviv Trade and Economic University (Lviv) - Natalia Matsura, who revealed the topic "regarding the object of evasion of taxes, fees (compulsory payments)". The speaker analyzed the approaches to the criminal analysis of the crime under the disposition of Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. An extremely interesting and relevant speech of higher education of the first (bachelor's) level of the Law Faculty of National Aviation University Andriy Stanko on the topic "Criminal law characteristics of involvement of children in participation in armed conflicts" was extremely interesting and relevant.
At the end of the speeches, there was a lively discussion, which was attended by both teachers of the department, applicants for higher education of the Law Faculty, and invited guests.
At the end of the seminar, the Georgian and Polish colleagues expressed the words of support of the people of Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.
