May 17, 2022 research and teaching staff of the Faculty of Law in the framework of the Jean Monnet Project “Legal Face of the European Union/LFEU” took part in a scientific conference titled “Legal Dimension of the EU studies", organized by the Caucasus University (Georgia).
At the plenary session on EU common policy in Georgia, the conference participants had an opportunity to learn about the role of Caucasus University in EU research policy development, challenges and state of development of education in EU schools, interpretation of legal program and its place in EU research, internalization processes. Caucasus University through Erasmus + programs.
These topics were discussed by Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Nunu Mickiewicz, President of the Caucasus University Mr. Kakha Shengelia, Deputy Director of the National Center for Educational Quality Lasha Margishvili and Head of International Relations and Projects of the Caucasus University Irena Melua.
Kateryna Vodolaskova, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, made a report on "EU LEGAL STUDIES DEVELOPMENT POLICY IN UKRAINE".
Georgia's experience in the integration process and cooperation with the Caucasus University is valuable and useful, because in 2021 the Caucasus University was selected for the Erasmus+ Call – Jean Monnet Centers of Excellence (CoE). This event is of great importance to promote the process of EU integration in Georgia and increase the involvement of the academic sector in this process.
