On May 10, 2022, an online meeting was held for first-year higher education students of the Faculty of Law with Kateryna Vodolaskova, Leading Legal Adviser of the Legal Service of the Boryspil International Airport State Enterprise.
The topic of the webinar: "Ukraine-EU Association Agreement and the Common Aviation Area".
Kateryna Yuriyivna conducted a historical excursion into the development of relations between Ukraine and the European Union, in particular, in the part of the European Neighborhood Policy and Eastern Partnership programs. Particular attention was paid to the analysis of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, which is the main document and basis for the formation and development of relations in the field of "open skies". Revealed the legal nature, structure and features of this Agreement. The main part of the meeting was devoted to a detailed analysis of the EU's concept of "open skies" and the agreement with Ukraine, provisions that will be effective immediately and those that have yet to be adapted and developed by Ukraine at the legislative and practical levels.
Finally, the moderator conducted a blitz test on the material listened to, during which students demonstrated the high result of their active participation and interest in the topic of the meeting.
Concluding her speech, Ms. Kateryna stressed the possible options for the development of "aviation visa-free" for Ukraine, which should be influenced by today's students, and in the future - legal practitioners who will shape the future of our country.
