May 10, 2022 at the invitation of Georgian colleagues Faculty of Law joined the celebrations on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding of Sukhum State University. Leading scientific and educational events took part in the festive event institutions of Georgia and Ukraine. On behalf of the National Aviation University the greeting speeches were made by Dean of the Faculty of Law Irina Sopilko and assistant professor of the theory and history of state and law Оlena Makeіeva.
In the introductory speech, the rector of Sukhum State University Zurab Honelidze expressed words of support to Ukraine and Ukrainian colleagues in this difficult time under conditions of Russian aggression and wished peace and faith in victory.
Sukhum State University is a Georgian university operating in Tbilisi, although its history begins in Sukhumi in 1932, when a decree of the Georgian government Sukhum Pedagogical Institute was founded. In 1979 Sukhum pedagogical institute was transformed into the University of Abkhazia (Sukhum), and in December 2008 the university renamed into a legal entity under public law - Sukhum State University. Currently, the university has seven faculties: Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science, Faculty of Mathematical and Computer Science, Faculty of Natural Sciences and health care.

Such measures promote international cooperation in science and education, expansion international relations and participation in joint and educational projects in the offensive.
