On April 21, 2021, at the Faculty of Law, Maria Zolotareva, Head of Tax and Customs Law Practice, Attorney-at-Law at Vdovichen & Partners, PhD, held a webinar on "Changes in Tax Legislation during Military Aggression" for higher education applicants.
The moderator analysed the main tax payments effective in Ukraine, analysed the powers of the State Tax Service to control pricing in order to prevent and eliminate artificial price increases, and revealed innovations in tax legislation during martial law.
Maria also shared her own experience of dealing with issues that make it difficult to pay taxes and deal with state financial authorities. Presenting practical examples, she explained how to deal with situations that make it difficult to fulfil tax obligations during military events, noted the easing of the payment of the single social tax, which has implications for further social payments for the population and the need for changes in tax controls for businesses.
The students joined the discussion on the webinar and received answers from the speaker to their questions about innovations in the tax sphere. To conclude the presentation, the Faculty Stakeholder invited higher education applicants to undertake an internship and practice at Vdovichen & Partners JSC.
