On the occasion of the World Aviation and Cosmonautics Day, on April 12, 2022, the Faculty of Law held an online marathon of student multimedia presentations New wings for Ukrainian „Mriya” (Dream)!: It was dedicated to the history of the world's largest and most powerful domestic transport aircraft An-225 „Mriya” (Dream), which was destroyed by Russian troops in the early days of the war.
The event, organized by the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, was attended remotely by first-year students who worked on their own presentations in March. The participants of the event were presented with an interview with air traffic controller Alla Purik, who shared her impressions of working with „Mriya” (Dream), which was affectionately called by the employees of the Gostomel airport „Marusya".
While watching multimedia presentations, the graduates mentioned the date of December 21, 1988, when the giant first ascended to heaven. Presenting their work, future lawyers spoke of the „Mriya” (Dream) in the present: "It is the largest aircraft in the world; she holds 240 unbroken world records; its appearance at airports is admired by thousands of aviation fans; even after burning, her engine started - she "spoke"!
"By destroying the legendary plane, the occupiers tried to destroy our world, bring us to our knees, take away our dream. But their plans were thwarted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the entire Ukrainian people. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Ukrainian people! Summing up the results of the online marathon, Svitlana Holovko, the head of the department, summed up the Ukrainian „Our „Mriya”(Dream) will come true!"
