At the end of November 2021, within the framework of the cooperation agreement, Deputy Head of the Zhulyany Border Guard Service, Major Alla Pisarchuk conducted an online training for law students in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, namely at a separate checkpoint "Kiev".
Alla Pisarchuk spoke about the rights and responsibilities of border guards, stressed the need to have special knowledge needed to protect the state border at airports.
Citing examples from his own practice, the Major of the Border Guard Service drew students' attention to certain aspects of the work of border guards, which are necessary when checking documents (passports, COVID-19 certificates, etc.). It is noted that the employees of the Separate Checkpoint "Kyiv" using the SafeBorder system repeatedly found COVID-certificates with signs of forgery. In total, since the beginning of the use of this system, border guards have found 574 such documents.
"With the help of SafeBorder software, border guards carry out electronic verification of COVID-19 certificates confirming vaccination of citizens, a negative test result or recovery from the disease. Scanning a QR code takes only a few seconds, which significantly speeds up the inspection and helps to effectively detect invalid documents and, as a result, to detect forgeries, "said Alla Pisarchuk. As the Kyiv Separate Checkpoint is a stakeholder at the Faculty of Law, at the end of the training students were invited to take part in the New Face of the Border project, which will start in December 2021. This project envisages the recruitment of candidates over the age of 18 who want to become the new face of the state at the border and take the positions of privates, sergeants and officers. Registration of candidate applications is open from 1 to 15 December 2021 at the link https://anketa.dpsu.gov.ua/.
