On November 25, 2021, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure Ganna Grabovska held a thematic hour of corporate culture for students of the PR-202B group of the Faculty of Law, dedicated to highlighting the devastating consequences of one of the largest tragedies of Ukrainian history - the genocide of the Ukrainian people in 1921-1923 and 1932-1933.
Opening the event, Ganna Grabovska drew the attention of young people to the importance of the annual commemoration of the National Day of Remembrance of Holodomor Victims in Ukraine, because the Holodomor Genocide is one of the greatest crimes in the history of mankind. “The actions of the Soviet regime pursued the goal not only to kill people with hunger but also to destroy culture and russify Ukrainians,” she said.
The lecturer combined the stating of cruel facts from the life of the Ukrainian people with the demonstration of the presentation video of the project “Holodomor: Mosaic of History. Unknown Pages ”, based on the results of the second large-scale expedition across Ukraine to find witnesses who survived the Holodomor of 1932-1933.
At the end of the event, Ganna Grabovska inspired students on November 27 to join the nationwide action "Light a Candle!" and to honor the memory of millions of Ukrainians - victims of the Soviet regime with a minute of silence.
