On November 30, 2021, associate professors of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure of the Faculty of Law Iryna Litvinova and Yulia Lantsedova together with the Shevchenkivska District State Administration in Kyiv held a legal lecture for students of Kyiv Industrial College on the topic: "Bullying is a problem of modern society".
"Today, in the process of reforming the education system, the problems of harassment and violence in the educational environment very often become an obstacle to achieving the goal of comprehensive youth development. Adult care is very much needed by the younger generation at any age, especially if the actions of abusers can cause serious damage to physical and mental health. An important role in creating conditions for acquiring knowledge in a safe educational environment, the formation of skills needed to avoid and prevent violence, conflict-free communication, non-violent behavior is played by the educational institution, "said the organizers.
During the legal lecture the students' attention was focused on the questions: How to organize systematic work on combating violence and bullying in an educational institution? How to diagnose the presence of bullying in the learning environment? What is the algorithm of actions in case of its detection? Who to turn to for help? What practical tools should everyone know in case they become a bully during the educational process? What are the practical tools for creating a safe environment in an educational institution?
The annual cooperation between the Faculty of Law and the Shevchenkivska District State Administration in Kyiv in the framework of educational activities not only ensures that young people are aware of their rights, but also raises the general level of legal culture of the younger generation.
