An important element of scientific work is the system, consistency and connection with practical activities in any field of research. Evidence of this is the work of scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Economic, Air and Space Law of the Faculty of Law, who during the year pay considerable attention to legal, organizational and economic principles of activities related to the prevention and reduction of waste.
Thus, on November 23, 2021, Associate Professor Larysa Milimko took part in a meeting of the Standing Committee on Ecology, Nature Management, Hunting, Water Resources, Chernobyl Accident and Other Emergencies of the Kyiv Regional Council. One of the issues on the agenda, which is put up for discussion, is the coverage of the problem of practical implementation of norms and provisions of current legislation in the field of waste management (on the example of a landfill in the village of Gorenko).
This participation in the meeting was a continuation of the work initiated at the round table "Problematic issues of implementation of powers of public authorities and local governments in the field of waste management", which took place at the Faculty of Law on November 17, 2021.
We hope for further cooperation with public authorities and local governments in order to conduct research in this area.
