On November 17, young people all around the world celebrate International Students' Day, because the studentship is certainly the happiest and, to some extent, even the decisive period in everyone's life. It is time when a person gets memories and experiences, which he or she later remembers with a smile on his face. The first steps into adulthood, the first freedom and crazy students' parties…
For the second year in a row, students are forced to celebrate this day at home, because the Covid-19 pandemic has made its adjustments in out lives. This year, the Students' Council of the Faculty of Law held an online round table on "Student life during the Covid-19 pandemic."
Students presented reports, presentations and videos related to the history of the International Student Day, the traditions of celebrating this day in Europe and the possibility of celebrating the student holiday under the influence of the global pandemic COVID-19.
PR-104B student Karina Simonovich in the presentation "History of the International Student Day" revealed the history of the foundation of the holiday in the UK. "November 17 was chosen not by chance. This date is set in memory of Czech patriotic students, "she said.
Olga Slutska (group PR-102B) in the presentation work "Student's Day in the countries of the world", reflected the bright moments and traditions of celebrating this holiday. It is noted that in Japan on this day they exchange a sweet bar Kit Kat as a symbol of friendship.
Mariana Denisyuk (PR-103B) showed students an informative video "Where did the tradition of celebrating Students' Day". Summing up the results of the round table, student Yana Temchenko (PR-102B) provided TOP-5 tips on how to celebrate Students' Day in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is sad to celebrate this day alone without our classmates, but the online round table gave us the opportunity to look at each other and convey warm wishes, so that even at a distance we could feel the warmth of each other's hugs, "said Students' Council Chair Sofia Tkachuk.
