On November 12-13, 2021, a two-day fantastic event on the occasion of International Girls' Day took place in Ukraine, organized by the Girl2Leader Ukraine campaign, headed by MP Yulia Lyovochkina.
The Girl2Leader global campaign aims to pass on women's leadership experiences in empowering the younger generation of girls and operates under the auspices of the international NGO Women's Political Leaders Global Forum.
“As part of the Girl2Leader Ukraine campaign, we are working systematically with active youth, aimed at empowering the younger generation of girls. We are developing a platform to motivate young people to be actively involved in decision-making processes and expand personal horizons so that in the future they can take leading roles in Ukrainian society and make it more compromised and successful, "said Yulia Lyovochkina, opening the event.
Forty girls who won the national selection had the opportunity to listen to a lecture "What and how the leader says", attend a seminar with women politicians, test their resilience on the quest and test their knowledge during the quiz.
Albina Sharko, a student of the PR-203B group of the Faculty of Law, also had a unique opportunity to be a part of this event and hear the opinions of already formed and realized women who hold influential positions and exercise cultural influence on the Ukrainian elite. However, one wish was not enough to get to the "success training". It was necessary to record a video or write an essay on "I succeeded! How I was persuaded about the "men's business", but I was able to! ", Which the student coped well.
"This program helped me become more confident, learn to speak in public and be able not only to listen but also to hear," said the student.
