On October 30, 2021, the research and teaching staff of the Faculty of Law and applicants for higher education joined an online meeting with a lawyer, a partner of the law firm "Logos", a graduate of the Law Institute 2018 Olena Bezpalcha.
The topic "Issues of the peculiarities of the work of lawyers and bar associations in Ukraine" was of great interest to the scientific community and second-year students, as the lawyer opened the issue of access to the legal profession, under which conditions you can pass a qualifying exam to obtain a certificate of the right to practice law. activities, highlighted the necessary qualities of the future lawyer, which will be able to make him competitive in the legal market. Also there were discussed the forms of lawsuits, the reasons for rejecting lawsuits, issues of legal ethics and legislative innovations in advocacy. Students, in turn, were interested in issues of litigation, validity and legality of court decisions, relationships with other participants in the process, preparation for litigation, avoidance of burnout and more.
Olena Bezpalcha has repeatedly stressed that nowadays the demand in the legal labor market depends not only on professional competencies, but also on the ability to a constantly development, stress resistance, analytical skills, willingness to change, the ability to present own views and more.
It is noted that cooperation with graduates creates an environment of like-minded people in order to jointly develop new educational initiatives and implement them. In addition, such meetings promote sustained feedback, given the timely response to changes in training requirements in the field of law.
At the end of the meeting, the young lawyer made concrete proposals to improve the quality of practical training of higher education students and the necessary competencies to master innovations in legal practice.
