Every year, on September 22, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Partisan Glory as a tribute to the national respect and honoring the memory of all those who fought for the freedom of their country during the Second World War, sparing their people neither their strength nor their own lives.
In order to honor the feat of guerrillas and underground fighters at the Faculty of Law, first-year mentors conducted informational and educational activities dedicated to the underground and guerrilla movement in 1941-1945.
So, students of group PR-103B watched the documentary film "We trembled for this earth", directed by Svitana Sokolenko (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3bDx BKo1HE), and group PR-102B visited the museum of Partisan Glory »Online (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ke9_WrsayE).
Freshmen (groups PR-104B, PR-105B) prepared a report on this topic for a corporate hour, watched a presentation performed by mentor Myroslava Olkhovik, which helped to recall the history of the first guerrilla units, their location and activities. Among the most emotional moments that struck the youth was the question of the difficulties faced by the guerrillas - terror, mass killings, deportation of young people to Germany, hiding.
On October 26, 2021, students of the PR-101B group visited the Memorial of Eternal Glory. Honoring the main military necropolis of Ukraine, the Alley of Fallen Heroes, where the remains of soldiers from Askold's Tomb, Botanical Garden, streets and parks of the capital were transferred, freshmen were able to once again realize the value of peace and the importance of each person in its existence.
National-patriotic events help us to remember and appreciate the past, to cultivate in young people a worthy sense of patriotism, as well as to honor and not forget those people who are getting smaller and smaller every year and who proudly bear the title of veteran of the Great Patriotic War.
