On the occasion of celebrating the Day of Liberation of Ukraine from Nazi invaders, celebrated annually on October 28, law students of the National Aviation University of the academic group PR-404B and mentor Lilia Grekova both visited one of the oldest parks in Ukraine named Mariinsky Park.
The history of the park is a more than 130 years. It was the matter of the significant concentration of events during all this time in its territory. Mariinsky Park like some other parks in Kyiv is located along the Dnieper hills and the main entrance is situated opposite the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The territory of the park is about 10 hectares of land, which is planned in the English style.
During a tour to Mariinsky Park, future lawyers had seen and learned a lot about the Mariinsky Palace also, which was built in 1750-1755, which for a long time of its existencet has experienced many cataclysms like a fire that destroyed a wooden second floor and all the main rooms, World War II, when a bomb hit the central part of the building. But nowaday this historic building is considered a state residence, with the hold on state ceremonies.
