In pursuance of the Career Guidance Plan of the Faculty of Law, on October 13, 2021 Iryna Varava, a senior lecturer at the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, held a legal literacy class with high school students №73 with in-depth study of Ukrainian language, literature and Ukrainian studies in Kyiv. criminal liability of minors ".
During the conversation with the elements of the discussion the peculiarities of administrative and criminal responsibility of minors, measures of influence applied to them, features of responsibility of other persons for committing administrative offenses under the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and for committing crimes by minors under the Criminal Code were revealed.
Iryna Varava analyzed the concept of "juvenile", acquainted the audience with the legal framework used to regulate administrative offenses and crimes committed by minors, listed the state bodies (officials) authorized to consider cases of administrative offenses committed by minors.
In the feedback, high school students asked questions about the main types of crimes committed by minors, the procedure for sentencing for a crime, the specifics of the repayment of convictions, and so on.
At the end of the legal literacy, the teacher analyzed the legal situations and tasks on this topic, which were proposed for students to solve during the meeting.
