In pursuance of the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On approval of the Plan of urgent measures to prevent and combat domestic violence, gender-based violence, protection of the rights of victims of such violence" of April 21, 2021 № 361-r, developed by the Ministry of Social Policy, The Faculty of Law has joined a joint international social project - Exhibition-Conference "Art Against Violence".
Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure, Doctor of Law, Professor Sofia Lykhova and Associate Professor Irina Litvinova on October 23, 2021 took part in the grand opening of the event, which took place at the Institute of Contemporary Art of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with: Deputy Minister of Social Policy - Olga Revuk, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Kateryna Pavlichenko, People's Deputy - Marina Bardina, President of the Foundation for Charitable Foundation For United Nights SDG - Mr. Maurizio Aronika.
The exhibition presents works by authors from all continents of the world who have encountered or experienced violence. The works of painting reflect personal pain, heaviness, fear and shackles, which bind and prevent them from living a full life. In the course of interactive expositions the works of teachers of the Faculty of Law on the legal aspect of combating domestic violence are also presented.
Researchers took part in a debate on general issues of domestic violence and joined the All-Ukrainian flash mob "Start acting".
