On the 15th of April in 2021, according to the Plan of scientific activities of the Faculty of Law for the 2020-2021 academic year the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law conducted a scientific-practical online seminar on the theme “Informational Wars: Prospects for Legal Counteraction”.
The keynote speaker was Nataliya Dniprenko, Head of the Department of Television Journalism and Television Skills at the Institute for Advanced Training of Television, Radio and Press Workers, Candidate of Science in Public Administration, who presented the theme: “Ways to Counteract Informational Wars”. The event was also attended by other representatives of higher education institutions of Ukraine and government agencies, research-teaching staff of the department, and students of the Faculty of Law.
During the scientific-methodical seminar, the participants analyzed the issues of new technologies of informational warfare, ways of persuading the individual used by the media, in particular, methods of changing one’s own internal position; means of combating viral "weapons" and preventing the spread of information weapons; methods of directing informational wars and strategies for protection against them. Some speeches of the speakers contributed to the discussion of the modern system of media specialists’ directing in the field of information and prospects for the development of directing activities in combating and conducting informational wars.
At the end of the event, Nataliya Dniprenko answered questions from students and teachers about the practical application of methods of informational impact on human consciousness and called on all present to develop research in the study of protective technologies against negative informational effects on the population, implementation of European standards of communication with the public implementation of communication policy.
