On April 14, 2021, the Faculty of Law hosted a methodical seminar for mentors and heads of academic groups on the topic: "Student self-government as a system of education of the future elite of the nation."
The dean of the faculty Iryna Sopilko addressed the audience with an introductory speech, who greeted the participants and wished them fruitful work. The methodological seminar was attended by Maria Roschuk, Head of the Department for Collection, Processing, Analysis of Educational Information of the Accreditation and Monitoring Department of the State Education Quality Service of Ukraine and a leading expert on social and labor relations regulation of the Production and Employment Department of the Federation of Trade Unions. member of the FPU Youth Council Anna Pugacheva, as well as mentors and group heads of the Faculty of Law.
During the methodical seminar the issues of corporate culture in the Free Economic Zone were discussed; trade union and student government cooperation; legal regulation of the institute of student self-government; activity of student self-government bodies as a factor of optimization of educational process and the main factor of formation of professional competence of applicants for higher education. The presentation of the head of the student council of the Faculty of Law Sofia Tkachuk about the role of student self-government in the formation of personality became interesting and meaningful, in which the main directions of activity of the student council of the Faculty of Law were demonstrated. Mentors and members of the student council of the Law Firm actively participating in the discussion, shared the experience of organizing various informational and educational events: round tables, competitions, exhibitions, thematic talks, excursions.
At the end of the event, participants identified promising areas of cooperation with student government to ensure the quality of the educational process and noted that the Faculty of Law pays considerable attention to modern aspects of student education, which contributes to the formation of leadership skills and professional competencies of future lawyers.
