On April 7, 2021, the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure organized a multimedia lecture for students of the Law Faculty of NAU by Leonid Sydorenko on the topic «The use of forensic techniques in the comprehensive study of soldier's medallions, documents and other items from the Second World War».
In his report, a well-known forensic researcher, who has been studying the problem of soldier's medallions since 2013, spoke about the use of modern techniques, methods, techniques and specialized data banks for technical examination of historical documents that allow to reproduce the contents of manuscripts and effective evaluation.
Leonid Sidorenko also presented the results of examinations to establish the facts of the history of Ukraine in the period 1941-1945, shared his own experience in developing and applying appropriate methods of comprehensive research of soldier medallions, documents and other items of servicemen, which established a large number of soldiers who died under during World War II.
The students, for most of whom this experience will definitely come in handy during their professional activities, thanked the invited guest for the opportunity to get acquainted with the features of forensic science and their importance for science and practical research of law enforcement agencies.
