On April 21, 2021, the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure of the Faculty of Law held a scientific and practical seminar on «Issues of improving the work of law enforcement agencies in Ukraine».
The scientific-practical seminar was attended by representatives of higher education institutions, state and public organizations, including: Borys Leonov - Chief Researcher of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Special Equipment and Forensic Science, Doctor of Law, Senior Research Fellow.; Mykola Maliy - director of the law firm «AYUR-CONSULTING»; Oleksandra Yanchuk - lawyer, director of Bonum law firm, Ph.D., associate professor; Mykhailo Hutsalyuk - Senior Research Fellow of the Interdepartmental Research Center for Combating Organized Crime at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Ph.D., Associate Professor; Daria Gurina - Deputy Head of the Laboratory of Educational and Scientific Work of the State Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ph.D.; scientific and pedagogical staff of the department, graduate students and applicants for higher education of the Faculty of Law.
During the meeting, ways to increase the efficiency of law enforcement agencies in Ukraine were discussed, namely: current issues of combating cybercrime; issues of legal and expert support of law enforcement activities in the field of combating cybercrime; functioning of the DNA laboratory in the Expert Service of Ukraine; reforming the prosecutor's office; application of innovative approaches to improve law enforcement and forensic activities in Ukraine.
The operative part of the scientific event consisted of proposals from scientists to improve the work of law enforcement agencies in Ukraine, as well as the decision to publish scientific articles on the topic of speeches in the legal journal «Scientific Proceedings of the National Aviation University. Series "Legal Bulletin. Air and space law».
