February 26, 2021, leading national and foreign experts in the field of law - scientists, officials, and public figures, judges, heads of legal institutions took part in the XI International Scientific and Practical Conference "Modern Law in the Era of Social Change".
While opening the event, the dean of the Faculty of Law, Irina Sopilko, noted the importance of joining the efforts of the scientific community to discuss the pressing problems of transforming legal institutions, which can only be solved through discussion. According to her, this format of communication is very valuable for all conference participants, because it not only stimulates scientific research but is also an effective factor in influencing the improvement of lawmaking and law enforcement.
The organizers and participants of the conference were welcomed by the Chairman of the Kyiv Regional Council - Alexander Sklyarov and Deputy Chairman of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine - Igor Zelinsky.
Representatives of foreign universities, law firms, public organizations and scientific institutes joined the scientific discussion, in particular: Maria Petrova - Doctor of Law, Associate Professor of Varna Free University named after Chernorizets Khrabra, lawyer of the Varna Bar Association (Bulgaria) Stefan Kirchner - Doctor of Science, Professor, Head Arctic Governance Research Groups and Research Professor of Arctic Law at the Arctic Center of the University of Lapland (Finland) Ioanna Osievich - Doctor of Habilitation, Head of the International Research Center for Legal Communications, Assistant Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, University of Warsaw (Poland); Stefan Hobe - Director of the Institute for Aviation, Space and Cyber Law of the University of Cologne, professor, twice honorary doctor of sciences (Germany); Duarte Henriquez - Head of the VICTORIA Bar Association (Portugal) Piotr Poniatowski - Doctor of Law, Faculty of Law and Administration, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University (Poland); Margineanu Elena - PhD, Free International University of Moldova (Republic of Moldova) Nisan Yuce - Attorney at Law Office "Lotus", Izmir Bar Association (Turkey) Federica Christan - Ph.D., Doctoral researcher in international law, Junior Specialist of the Virtual Open Research Laboratory Program Russian, East European and Eurasian Center of the University of Illinois (Italy); Laura Shimkute - Legal Adviser of the Panevezys District Court (Lithuania).
The leading domestic scholars, well-known lawyers and practicing lawyers, were also participants in the discussion in particular: Volodymyr Bevzenko - Judge of the Administrative Court of Cassation as part of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor Viktor Grischuk - Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer Ukraine, member of the High Council of Justice, academician of the Academy of Sciences of Higher Education, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine; Pavel Pavlish - People's Deputy of Ukraine, member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Legal Policy, Candidate of Legal Sciences; Stella Tsibizova is a judge of the Poltava District Court of the Poltava Region, a candidate for the position of a judge of the Supreme Court on Intellectual Property Issues, a trainer of the National School of Judges of Ukraine and the like.
In general, the conference was attended by 315 scientists and lawyers from 30 countries of the world. The conference participants noted that intellectual communication of this level promotes personal development, gaining new knowledge and experience.
