On February 17, 2021, the Faculty of Law hosted a methodical seminar for mentors and group commanders on the topic: "Academic integrity - the key to quality education and sustainable development."
Dean of the Faculty Iryna Sopilko addressed the audience with an introductory speech, congratulating the participants and emphasizing that academic integrity is a guarantee not only of the quality of education and sustainable development, but also a component of the values of higher education students.
The methodical seminar was attended by the Head of the Department of Analytics and Information Management of NAU Andriy Gizun, responsible person for working with students Lyudmila Shapenko, senior mentor Olena Makeyeva, mentors and group commanders of the Law Faculty of NAU.
During the event, speakers and participants discussed the nature and principles of academic integrity, the causes of academic dishonesty among students, the problem of plagiarism as a topical issue in the modern educational environment, the types of liability for violations of academic integrity. Andriy Gizun, head of the Analytics and Information Management Department of NAU, drew attention to the general provisions of ensuring academic integrity at NAU.
During the discussion of the seminar, mentors and students of law schools shared their experience in complying with the requirements of academic integrity, summarizing the successful practices of the Ukrainian educational community in academic integrity and quality of education in order to train highly qualified professionals in law.
