On December 17, 2020, the Department of Theory and History of State and Law held a round table on the topic: "Quality legal education - a guarantee for the future" to implement the career guidance plan of the Faculty of Law.
The round table was attended by students of Kyiv Gymnasium № 154, specialized school of I-III degrees with in-depth study of Ukrainian language and literature № 260 Kyiv, Specialized School of I-III degrees № 251 named after Ho Chi Minh with in-depth study of English. Kyiv, secondary school № 166 Kyiv, NVK № 30 "ECONAD" Kyiv, Stryzhavska and Stavyshchenska schools of Kyiv region, Lanovets secondary school of Ternopil region, as well as research and teaching staff and 1st year students of the Faculty of Law.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law Irina Sopilko addressed the participants of the meeting and informed them about the structure and areas of activity of the Faculty and asked the students to attend the course, Head of the Chair of Theory and History of State and Law Ivan Borodin, who spoke about the relevance of current legal education in today's conditions. Olena Makeieva, associate professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, revealed the current challenges facing the students, noted the current use of legal professions: in the legislative, administrative and judicial authorities, prosecution, notariat, advocacy, etc. The law students prepared interesting speeches and presentations about their future professions: judge, prosecutor, notary, lawyer, legal adviser, investigator, etc.
Students were also presented with presentation materials on the conditions of admission, study at the Faculty of Law and the peculiarities of the admission campaign of NAU in 2021, which was informed in detail by the Executive Secretary of the Selection Committee of the Faculty of Law Lyudmila Shapenko.
Therefore, we hope that such professional activities will be useful for future graduates in choosing a profession and achieving career growth.
