On December 2, 2020, the Department of Civil Law and Process of the Faculty of Law within the framework of career guidance work among high school students of the educational complex "Obolon" held a legal quiz on the topic: "UN Convention on the Rights of the Child".
The event, dedicated to the World Children's Day, was organized with the aim of legal education of schoolchildren, formation of their legal awareness, respect for law and human rights, skills and habits of lawful behaviour, as well as active position in the implementation of rights in modern life.
The legal quiz took place in three stages, in each of which high school students had the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of the rights and freedoms of the child, which are guaranteed by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and mechanisms for their protection in Ukraine and the world.
At the end of the meeting with students a legal conversation was held on the topic: "Children's rights in the modern world", during which the problems of meeting the interests and needs of children, fulfilling their responsibilities by the law and understanding the importance of legal culture for building a legal society. These and other issues made everyone think about their own attitude to legal values and prospects for the development of the social rule of law in Ukraine.
