November 20, 2020 in the framework of the All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference of young scientists and students "Aero-2020. Air and Space Law ”the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure held a discussion panel on the topic“ Criminal-legal means of counteracting criminal offenses in the transport sphere ”by videoconference.
The scientific event was attended by 3rd year students and research and teaching staff of the Faculty of Law, who during the discussion considered current issues of criminal law characterization of illegal seizure of aircraft, the importance of "black box" for investigating plane crashes, investigating crimes against road safety, causation communication in motor vehicle criminal offenses, air terrorism and other issues that require an innovative search for the latest criminal law means and mechanisms to combat criminal offenses in the transport sector.
According to the results of scientific reports and research of the All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference of young scientists and students, the participants identified a number of criminogenic factors, which include the growth of violations of traffic safety and operation of rail, water and air transport, violations of air flight rules and airspace use. a significant number of crimes related to military conflict. These and other security issues require the expansion of knowledge about the objective and subjective features of crimes against traffic safety and transport operation, the development of a set of criminal legal means to combat criminal offenses in the transport industry.
