On November 9, 2020, a meeting of the Mediation Center dedicated to the Day of Ukrainian Literature and Language and the International Day of Smoking Cessation was held by video conference.
Vladyslav Geleshko, a student of the PR-102m group, prepared a presentation on the occasion of the Ukrainian Literature and Language Festival, which is traditionally celebrated on November 9. The presentation was also presented by Olga Goncharuk, a student of PR-101b, who revealed the history of the Ukrainian language, named famous Ukrainians - Ivan Kotlyarevsky, who was the founder of the Ukrainian language, and Taras Shevchenko as the founder of the Ukrainian language. The Ukrainian language belongs to the Slavic group of the Indo-European language family, said the student, and the number of speakers is over 45 million, most of whom live in Ukraine. Тhe language is also widespread in Belarus, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, the United States, and other countries where Ukrainians live. Olga emphasized the role of language in the professional activity of lawyers, as the possession of communication skills is an integral part of professional competencies, a guarantee of success in the profession, as well as an indicator of professional culture.
Students of PR-201b Diana Mysat and Vladislav Andreev prepared a report and presentation on «November 19 - International Day of Smoking Cessation». During the speech, student Vladislav Andreev noted that this day originated in 1977 in the United States, and was founded by the World Health Organization as an international in 1988, the events of this day are dedicated to reducing tobacco dependence. Diana Mysat revealed the negative consequences of this habit for health, gave advice on how to combat this bad habit. In addition, future lawyers stressed the popular desire among young people for a healthy lifestyle, in particular, sports and healthy eating, which is very relevant during a pandemic.
At the end of the event, all participants noted the importance of discussing the topics presented for the formation of national consciousness, professional culture and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among students.
