On October 21, 2020, the Department of Theory and History of the State organized a visit to the monument to the military pilot, tester, twice Hero of the Soviet Union Amet-Khan Sultan.
Students of the PR-201 academic group, accompanied by their mentor Olena Makeіeva, honored the memory and laid flowers at the monument to the outstanding pilot to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Amet-Khan Sultan. Amet-Khan Sultan - the national hero of the Crimean Tatar people. Soviet ace pilot, participant in World War II. On June 30, 1945, he was twice awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for successfully conducting 603 combat sorties, shooting down 30 enemy aircraft of various types and 19 enemy aircraft shot down in group battles. Honored Test Pilot of the USSR, the only Soviet pilot who tested more than 50 types of aircraft. In order to honor the memory of the hero, on May 3, 2013, a bust of Sultan Amet-Khan was unveiled in Kyiv's Eternal Glory Park. Students reverently laid flowers at the granite pedestal, which glorifies the bronze bust of the hero.
Such events form the national consciousness of the young generation, allow to learn more about outstanding figures in the history of domestic aviation.
