October 20, 2020, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Process of the Faculty of Law Ganna Grabovska, together with the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of the Svyatoshin Regional State Administration of Kyiv, held a lecture-debate for high school students of secondary school No. 35 on the topic "Formation of language culture, mastering and application of the Ukrainian language as the spiritual code of the nation ”.
At the beginning of the online meeting, considerable attention was paid to the importance of the formation of linguistic culture and the relevance of mastering and using the Ukrainian language as the spiritual code of the nation which combines the culture of the ethnic group into one continuous process from the past through the present to the future. After all, the purpose of this event is to raise the level of the language culture of the younger generation and to form strong positions in them as to the understanding of the role of language in society as a reliable prospect for the development of culture.
Ganna Grabovska told high school students about the language not only as one of the defining features of the ethnic community of the people but also as a complex system containing information about the peculiarities of occupation, everyday life, worldview, and historical and cultural experience of the people. During the lecture, excerpts from the documentary film of the "Code of the Nation" research project were also demonstrated.
At the end of the meeting, the acquaintance of future graduates with the Faculty of Law of NAU was organized and prospects for further cooperation with the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the Svyatoshin Regional State Administration of Kyiv were discussed in terms of organizing educational activities among students of general secondary education.
