On September 29, 2020, a methodical seminar for mentors and group commanders was held at the Faculty of Law by video conference on the topic: "Ensuring fire safety in higher education institutions: modern challenges."
Dean of the faculty Irina Sopilko addressed the audience with an opening speech, who congratulated the participants and wished them fruitful work. The methodological seminar was attended by leading engineer of the Department of civil protection, fire and environmental safety Andrey Ignatko, responsible person for work with students Lyudmila Shapenko, senior mentor Elena Makeeva, mentors and group commanders of the Faculty of law of NAU.
Olena Makeyeva, senior mentor, associate professor of theory and history of state and law, revealed the purpose and objectives of this event, noting that preserving the life and health of our students, ensuring fire safety is an important priority of organizational work with students. explanatory work with students on fire prevention. Leading engineer of the department of civil protection, Fire and Environmental Safety Andriy Ignatko drew the attention of the audience to the need to comply with fire safety rules at the National Aviation University, told about the measures taken to prevent fires. Iryna Varava, a senior lecturer at the department of theory and history of state and law, presented a report and presentation in which she revealed the causes and consequences of fires, gave examples of statistical information from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on the number of fires.
During the discussion of the seminar, the mentors of the Law faculty shared their experience of organizational work with students on fire prevention. Summing up, it was noted that the Faculty of Law pays great attention to organizational work with students to ensure fire safety in close cooperation with the Department of Civil Protection, Fire and Environmental Safety, because the life and health of students and preservation of university property is one of the tasks organizational work with students.
