On June 26, 2020, the Department of Theory and History of State and Law organized an online visit of students of a legal case hearing at the District Administrative Court of Odessa in order to improve their professional skills and consolidate theoretical knowledge in practice.
During the theoretical training, students found that the jurisdiction of administrative courts includes public-law disputes of individuals or legal entities with the subject of authority to appeal its decisions (regulations or legal acts of individual action), actions or omissions. During the court session, which was attended by students, an administrative case was considered regarding the implementation of state policy in the field of economy and public financial policy, in particular regarding the organization of economic activity. The court considered the claim of the farm «SIMURG2» to the Main Department of the State Consumer Service in Odessa region to declare illegal and cancel the decision to impose a fine. As participants in the court session, students were able to consolidate their knowledge of administrative proceedings and basic procedural actions.
Such measures are interesting and useful for future lawyers, as they contribute to the formation of general and special competencies of applicants, the acquisition of theoretical and practical skills during the educational process.
