On December 10, 2019, students of academic groups PR-403 and PR-404 of the Law Faculty together with the mentor Iryna Tolkachova visited the Kyiv City Teacher’s House.
The Kyiv City Teacher’s House is an architectural monument of classicism with baroque elements that has more than a century history of renovation and reconstruction. The Teacher’s House is a communal complex extracurricular establishment in the system of extracurricular educational establishments of Kyiv, as well as a building known as the Pedagogical Museum on the eve of the revolution.
During the excursion students learned that the residence of the Ukrainian Central Council, headed by Mykhailo Hrushevsky, was in the premises of the Teacher’s House. In this very place, the Fourth Universal was signed, which proclaimed the birth of the Ukrainian People’s Republic.
Such events favour broadening the outlook of future lawyers and inform about sources of Ukrainian statehood.
