On December 11, 2019, the Faculty of Law held a methodological seminar for mentors and team leaders on the topic: "the Importance of mastering a foreign language for the legal profession in modern conditions".
The seminar was attended by: Dean of the Faculty Irina Sopilko, head of the Department for working with students of NAU Elena Kalinichenko, head of the international relations Department of the Institute of international cooperation and education of NAU Alexander Ivanov, responsible for organizational work with students of the Law Faculty Alice Logvinenko, senior mentor Elena Makeeva, mentors and group commanders.
During the event, the participants discussed the importance of a foreign language in the life of a modern person, current problems of English-language education in a single educational space, and the role of a foreign language as one of the elements of professional competence of future lawyers. Especially informative was the speech of Alexander Ivanov, who focused the attention of the audience on the importance of knowing English for specialists in the aviation industry. The participants had a lively discussion about the problems and prospects of foreign language training of future lawyers.
Such events contribute to the formation of professional competence of future lawyers and competitive graduates of the legal field.
